Monday’s Second Thoughts
My most favorite refrigerator magnet begins with this familiar saying: “I do believe that for every door that closes, another will open…. (wait for it…..) But these hallways are a real drag!” (I might use stronger language – pick your word for it.) Consider Job. His life crashed around him for no clear reason. He lost everything, and he was infested with oozing itching sores from head to toe. Even his wife wanted him to curse God and die. Today, consider Lance Armstrong. Now he may deserve what he is getting, but his life is in massive public freefall, and it is not the first time. He also was afflicted with cancer. What about your own life?
