Fear, Jesus, and the Role of Believers

In a world shrouded in shadows, fear is a universal whisper in the hearts of many. Yet, within this darkness, there exists a beacon of hope—Jesus, and His promise of salvation. Drawing from the poignant tale of Nicodemus, the pastor unveils a transformative perspective on fear, salvation, and our role in the divine narrative.

As believers, we are called not to conceal our light or pass judgment, but to courageously bring forth illumination into the darkest corners of existence. Through confession, we embrace our missed beats in the music of life, viewing them not as failures but as steps towards our collective redemption.

The sermon culminates in a powerful reflection on the beauty of sharing our flawed journeys with one another, encouraging us to reveal our imperfections as testaments to God’s grace. Together, in prayer, we seek the strength to embody this force for good, to weave our light into the tapestry of the world.

Join us on this journey of transformation, where fear is but the first step towards a luminous awakening.

We are a small community of about 70 people. Attendance varies at our services, depending on the month, the weather, and/or the occasion. We have people of all ages and backgrounds. While many of us identify ourselves as Lutherans, many also come from other faith communities, some consider themselves agnostic, and some are still discovering (or undecided).
