Backpack Drive in July

We’ll be collecting backpacks and selected school supplies for children at Baldwin school all through the month of July.

Suggested items include –

• backpacks (of course)
• boxes of tissues
• zip lock bags – 1 gallon & 1 quart
• reams of copy paper
• #2 pencils (name brand please)
• rolls of paper towels
• liquid hand sanitizer dispensers
• Expo dry erase markers
• composition books (marbled cover)
• binder paper
• glue sticks
• Crayola crayons

Please keep in mind –

• Backpacks/binders/notebooks should not be predominately red or blue (gang colors)
• Name-brand crayons, pencils, etc. (e.g., Crayola, Ticonderoga) are preferred – better color, less breakage. Check out Staples, Target, Rite Aid, etc. for sale pricing!
• Some items (e.g., paper towels/copy paper) are much-needed classroom supplies and not necessarily “backpack items.”

Monetary contributions are also quite welcome and will be used to fill in as needed.
