God created and loves all of creation — the earth and the seas and all of the world’s inhabitants. We are part of God’s unfolding plan begun uncountable eons ago, crossing galaxies and infinite time, and continuing to this day. We believe that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death and resurrection, and we trust that God’s Spirit is active in the world.

When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere. When we study the Bible or hear God’s word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God’s own saving story.

Our Belief About Scripture

Rather than a literal rulebook or a science textbook, the Bible is a living story of God’s relationship with people — one that continues to speak truth and hope into our lives today.

Inspired by God, but written by people over many centuries and across many cultures, at its heart is God’s love made known in Jesus Christ.

At New Creation, we encourage questions, honest searching, and open conversation about Scripture. We believe the Spirit is at work through both the words on the page and the community that gathers to hear them, helping us grow in faith and live out God’s love in the world.

Our Belief About Marriage

Marriage is a covenant of love, trust, and mutual support. It is a commitment in which two people promise to care for one another, grow together in faith, and possibly nurture children.

At New Creation, we celebrate marriage as one of God’s good gifts — a relationship where love is expressed, forgiveness is practiced, and lives are joined in service to God and neighbor.

We affirm and support marriage between both differing-sex and same-gender couples. God’s love is not limited, and every committed relationship deserves dignity, blessing, and the support of community.

Our Belief About Gender and Sexuality

Every person is created in God’s image and is worthy of love, respect, and belonging. God’s creation is wonderfully diverse, and so are the ways people live out their gender and sexuality.

As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, New Creation fully welcomes, affirms, and celebrates LGBTQIA+ people as beloved and fully participating members of God’s family. We believe that healthy, committed relationships — regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation — can be faithful expressions of God’s love.

We stand against discrimination and exclusion. Instead, we seek to build a community where all people can bring their whole selves, grow in faith, and share their gifts in service to God and neighbor.
